Dr. Alli is currently a Robert Woodruff Endowed Professor of Finance at the Business School of Clark Atlanta University. Among the leadership positions he has held in the university include serving as the Interim Dean of the Business School and Chair of the Department of Accounting & Finance. He received a Morgan Stanley Fellowship in 2007 and served as Professor of Finance at Morehouse College. Dr Alli taught at Georgia State University and was appointed visiting Professor at Mona School of Business, University of West Indies, Kingston, Jamaica where he also served as external examiner for the MSc Finance program. Before he came into academics, Lekan was a Bank Officer for Wema Bank in Lagos, Nigeria where he was involved in foreign exchange and treasury activities, loan syndication, and credit analysis. His main research and teaching interests are Corporate Finance, particularly Valuation and Financial Analysis, Portfolio Management, and International Finance. He has many publications in leading academic and professional journals including the AREUA Journal, Journal of Financial Research, Financial Review, Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, Journal of Financial Education, the Valuation Journal, and the CPA Journal. Dr Alli was also honored with the “Amoco Foundation Teaching in Excellence Award”.
Lekan currently serves as a member of the Investment Committee for the ASFIP (Atlanta CFA Society) Foundation and previously served as a member of the Academic Advisory Board for Decatur Capital Management. He has worked as a consultant for a variety of companies, including Fortune 500 companies and governmental institutions. His consulting experience includes projects focusing on Financial Modelling, Personal Financial Planning and Consumer Credit Education, Cost-Benefit Analysis, Value-Based Performance Measurement, Valuation of Privately Held Stock and Minority Interest, Valuation of Economic Damages, Disparity Studies, Statistical Analysis, Privatization and Strategic Planning, Executive Education and Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis. Dr. Alli, who served IgsosaNA (the sponsors of YENDOW) as an Accounting Consultant, holds degrees of MSc Economics, MBA and PhD Finance from Georgia State University.
