Mrs. Omowunmi Awokoya

Armed with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Human Resources from California State University and the University of Redlands California, respectively, Mowunmi’s diverse and impactful professional journey began with the Sheriff’s Department in San Bernardino, California in 1980. She later served in the Human Resource Department of Shell Company Plc, Nigeria. In 1987, she founded Button and Bows Interior Decorating and later established Botobam Hydrotech, a water packaging company, in Nigeria. The period which she spent as CEO of Button and Bows afforded her the opportunity to lead many high-profile interior design and decorating projects in Nigeria from 1987 until 2002.

Over the past two decades, Mrs Awokoya has been engaged in providing alternative family living solutions in partnership with the state of North Carolina, USA. Mowunmi’s passion and unwavering commitment to empowering individuals and ensuring that they reach their fullest potential is a testament to her enduring legacy. Her dedication to community service and deep interest in the fate of the less privileged has led to her tremendous achievement as IGSOSANA’s Welfare Committee Chair from 2015-2023.
