Gift Use Agreement
Endowed gifts play a crucial role in shaping the future growth and enhancing the quality of education in Nigeria.
A Gift Use Agreement (“GUA”) is the governing gift instrument between you and YENDOW that addresses specifics on when and how your gift will be used. If you wish the gifted amount to be held as a permanent endowment, this desire needs to be expressly stated in the GUA.
A GIFT THAT HONORS A LIFE – MEMORIALS AND TRIBUTES
If you have a loved one who has been impacted by good quality education, establishing a memorial or tribute gift is a meaningful way to honor your loved one (whether living or deceased) or celebrate a special occasion such as a birthday while supporting the work of our mission. Your memorial or tribute gift will be a lasting tribute to your loved one and make a difference in the lives of those we serve. A prospective donor can work closely with our Endowment Development Officer (EDO), not only to create an endowment, but also to produce a Gift Use Agreement (GUA) that the donor feels comfortable about.
OPTIONS TO CREATE AN ENDOWMENT
Do you want to see the impact of your endowment today while you build your endowment’s principal over time? With a Flex Endowment, you can fund your endowed gift over the next five years. With an Estate Endowment, you can plan to fund your endowed gift through your estate. Either way, you will be making an impact in the YENDOW program of your choosing today that will carry on forever.
To learn more about these options or to explore other ways to create an endowment, contact YENDOW at +1 (518) 322-9243, or by email at [email protected].
WHAT ABOUT BENEFITS?
When establishing an endowment, you have the power to choose how your investment will support YENDOW. The perpetuity of your endowed gift will help sustain support in the area of your choosing, and you will feel satisfaction in knowing that you have invested in something you care deeply about. Through your endowment, you may also build a stronger connection with the young people that benefit from your generosity. Endowments are an excellent way to honor someone special or to memorialize a loved one. Colleagues, friends, and family may choose to support the endowed fund you created and named because they know how special it is to you.
